ScotiaBank Aquires Interfin

This news was released to the general public in Costa Rica some months ago, however an official press release by ScotiaBank was made only some days ago.

Banking giant ScotiaBank has aquired the Interfin Corporate the largest private bank in Costa Rica. This aquisition was made for $293.5 million.

Scotia will merge its existing facilties here with Interfin, resulting in a 13 per cent loan market share, which will result in excellent banking coverage.

This was a very important aquisition for ScotiaBank as it significantly reinforces it's precense in Costa Rica and the international market
