Properties listed by agents / realtors in Costa Rica are listings that are for sale using an Agent as the intermediary with little to no direct contact with the owner until the final process of a purchase.

In some cases having an Agent present may be helpful and in other cases it can be quite negative.

Things to consider when buying from an Agent

• Less room to negotiate
• The agent negotiates on your behalf
• Can try to make up your mind for you
• Agents have known to be pushy
• Agent receives a comission
• May be able to provide information on purchase politics
• You should still do your homework first
