Anyone interested in purchasing real estate in Costa Rica can and you are not required to live in Costa Rica to own real estate here.

Citizens from numerous countries (such as the United States and Canada) can visit Costa Rica without a visa for a period of 3 months.

Please contact a Consulate in your area for further information about visa requirements Ministry of Foreign Relations.
