Super Centers

Super centers are well known in the world as Wal Mart, Wallgreens, Cosco and other big stores that provide a wide variety of products. In Costa Rica like most places we have these Super centers they just go by different names.

PriceSmart

Very simliar to the Cosco style club purchases, this store provides mainly bulk items, electronics and other home products. The membership is around $55 /year and well wroth it. The cost of high price electronics is probably better here than anywhere else.

Hyper Mas

The current operating name for Wal Mart in Costa Rica. Provides lots of products at relatively low prices. New location opens in Escazu, mid 2007. Originally we believed that the new location in Escazu would open as WalMart but that is not the case.
